Origami contest

Yes, we at are holding a Christmas Origami Contest! So whip out your paper and start folding for a chance to win subscriptions, features and more! Aaargh my brain is really not functioning atm. So this may end up kinda weird... XD

1. My ethnic background is Chinese but I was born and grew up in Australia. Since I'm kinda awkward/shy around most people they tend to assume that I'm an international student (despite the fact that all I can do is count to 99 in Chinese and say pronouns, which really never got anyone very far. ) Oh, and sometimes when I tell people I speak (some) Japanese, they mistake me for a Japanese person, lol. Let's just say that appearances can be very, very deceiving. (P.S. Please don't speak slowly to me in English. I can understand you, really )

2. I went to Japan for a total of about 4 weeks back in 2007. ~10 days with my family, ~2.5 weeks on a school exchange trip. I wish I could spend longer in a foreign country to learn the language better.

3. I played tennis, softball, netball, basketball and volleyball for my school (and cricket too, but that was sorta in combination with another school), but in the end I discovered that I liked badminton best. XD

4. My favourite martial art is iaido.

5. When I was little and used to go to the hairdresser, I would have my hair cut, then run around underfoot trying to sweep up all my hair from the floor by brushing it into a neat little pile with my foot whilst my sister was getting hers cut. XD

6. I have never gone to a band concert in my life. (There's a few bands I wouldn't mind seeing just for the experience, but I dunno if they even come visiting around these parts, lol.)

7. I hate the taste of alcohol. I'll toast you with my glass of water or orange juice. XD

8. I'm not much of a fan of the number 8. Even if it is meant to be a lucky number in Chinese. I adhere more to Western superstition... and to me, 8 is not a good number because 8 = 4 + 4, and I don't like 4s because when you're counting in 3s (which are good numbers), it only takes a 4 to make things turn bad, ie. 3 + 3 + 3 + *4* = 13. (But I believe that is more of a remnant of my childhood- I *do* have enough insight to realise that is not logical at all by most people's standards, but I thought the whole idea of tags was to share INTERESTING information. XD)

I don't know who to tag (in reality I can't be bothered), so just do this if you want.

Alternatively, I could just tag Scandium, Titanium, Vanadium, Chromium, Manganese, Iron, Cobalt and Nickel... or I could try radioactively tagging some antibodies. Okay I think my dehydrated brain is just going completely bonkers now so I'd better stop writing now, eh? XD

There's people who say they don't have 'friend quilts' because their real friends know who they are. This may be true, but I realised that I was suffering greatly when I took it off my page because I couldn't get to my friends' pages easily any more. D: So I brought it back- for my own, selfish sake. ;D
